Qualified arborists removing trees of every species and size across the Perth metro, from Yanchep to Rockingham. Backyard trees through to complex commercial removals, seven days a week.
For more than 40 years, Dickies Tree Service has been removing trees of every species and size across the Perth metropolitan area. Our qualified arborists handle everything from small backyard trees to large, complex removals on commercial properties, construction sites and along power lines.
Before any tree comes down, our arborists assess its health, structure and surroundings, plan the safest removal method, and leave your site clean when the job is finished. We service the whole metro area from Yanchep to Rockingham, including the Perth Hills, seven days a week.
Not every tree problem needs a removal. Sometimes pruning is the better option, and we will tell you honestly if that is the case. Removal is usually the right call when:
Perth councils each have their own tree removal rules. Some require a permit above a certain trunk diameter, others protect particular species or heritage areas, and penalties for removing a protected tree can be significant.
Our quoting team deals with these rules every day and can advise you during the free quote visit. For commercial and strata clients a qualified arborist can inspect the tree and provide findings and recommendations to support an application, and we can arrange a formal tree risk assessment where one is needed.
Trees growing into power lines need specialist handling. Dickies is Western Power qualified, with around 12 staff trained in Powerline ESI clearance for low and high voltage work.
Do not attempt to cut a tree near power lines yourself. Read more about our power line clearance services or call us to arrange an assessment.
Do I need council approval to remove a tree in Perth?
It depends on your local council. Many Perth councils require a permit for trees above a certain size or for protected species. Our quoting team can advise you during the free quote visit.
How much does tree removal cost?
Every tree is different, so we quote per job after inspecting the tree and the site. Size, species, condition, access and proximity to structures or power lines all affect the price. Quotes are free and there is no obligation.
What is the difference between tree lopping and tree removal?
Lopping is an older term for cutting a tree back without regard for where the cuts fall. Professional removal means assessing the tree, planning the safest method, and taking it down in a controlled way with qualified arborists and the right equipment.
How long does a tree removal take?
Small to medium trees in accessible spots can often be removed in a few hours. Large or complex removals needing a crane or elevated work platform may take a full day. We give you a time estimate when we quote.
What happens to the tree after it is removed?
All branches and foliage are chipped on site and taken away, and larger trunk sections are cut into manageable pieces. If you would like to keep the woodchip for your garden, just let us know.
Will the removal damage my property?
Our crews plan every job to protect your property, using lowering ropes, rigging and cranes to control where each piece falls. Fences, gardens and structures are protected or temporarily moved where needed.
Working for businesses, shires and government, north, south and east of the river allows us to efficiently cover the whole metropolitan area, from Yanchep to Rockingham, and everywhere in between. We are your local arborists in Perth.
