Tree Mulching and Woodchipping Perth
We process green waste on site, turning branches and foliage into fresh wood chip mulch in your garden rather than carting it away.

We process green waste on site, turning branches and foliage into fresh wood chip mulch in your garden rather than carting it away.
Every tree removal and pruning job produces branches, limbs and foliage that need to go somewhere. At Dickies Tree Service we process it all on site, turning green waste into fresh wood chip mulch right there in your garden.
We run seven Vermeer woodchippers across our seven field teams, each towed by a dedicated tipping truck. Every crew arrives with chipping capability as standard, so there is no waiting for a separate machine and no second visit.
Perth’s sandy soils and hot, dry summers make mulching one of the smartest things you can do for a garden.
One of the best parts of our tree work is what it produces. Fresh wood chip mulch is excellent for Perth gardens, and we deliver it free of charge to homes and businesses right across the metro area.
If you need mulch for garden beds, paths or a large landscaping project, get in touch. We would rather see it put to good use in local gardens than go to waste. Demand varies with our work schedule, so call to check availability.
Because each of our seven crews tows its own chipper, branches from your tree removal or pruning job are processed as the work goes on rather than stacked and collected later.
If you would like to keep the mulch your own tree produces, tell us when we quote and we will leave it on site for you.
What is the difference between mulching and woodchipping?
Woodchipping is the process of feeding branches through a chipper to produce wood chips. Mulching is the broader term for applying organic material over soil. In practice, our on-site woodchipping produces the mulch.
Can I keep the mulch from my tree removal?
Absolutely. When we chip branches from your removal or pruning job we can leave the mulch on site for you to use in the garden. Just let us know when we quote the job.
How thick should I apply mulch?
We recommend 50 to 100mm. That is thick enough to suppress weeds and retain moisture without blocking water from soaking through to the soil beneath.
When is the best time to mulch in Perth?
Mulch can be applied at any time of year, particularly when the existing layer has thinned or broken down. Late autumn and early spring are often ideal in Perth, while topping up before summer helps the garden hold moisture through the hottest months.
Do you deliver mulch to homes and businesses?
