Dickie's were the only company to get back to us when making quote enquries. After being told it may take a few weeks to fit us in, we got a call saying we could be fit in a lot quicker than expected. The team were professional, genial and did the work to a high standard. All work was carried out promptly and without a hitch. One small thing was I did not receive a call to tell me the workers were coming. I did see your trucks on our street and asked one of the drivers if they were doing our house. He told me he was doing a house further down the street. I then went out and received a call from my wife they were here to do our house!!!
I was able to get back while they were still there. Maybe a text message should be sent prior to arrival if calls are not able to be answered, if a call was made.
This, as it turned out, was not a problem and the job was done promptly and to our complete satisfaction.

I have been using Dickies Tree Service for many years, as we have a large eucalypt tree at our rear boundary and we have also had palm trees.
Dickies have at my request very capably trimmed the large eucalypt every 3 or so years so as to limit its reach over the fence and maintain its good looks, and have also removed 2 palm trees at my request - each one removed in a neat and tidy manner.
Cost of the work has in my opinion been quite reasonable.
For this reason I have recommended Dickies Tree Service to neighbours and friends.

Tree looks great and the boys were in and out very quickly. One guy stayed back longer and ensured everything was blown down thoroughly. I really appreciated that and rewarded him with a beer. Very happy with the service. My only critique is that there are now a few dead spots/divots in my lawn where the trunks dropped. I've fixed this with some lawn mix sand, but perhaps that could be included in the service. A bag of sand isn't too much of an expense, and it would really elevate the service.

The team arrived on time as promised and worked quickly, but took care to avoid damage to surrounding garden plants. We had a helpful discussion about what needed to be done to remove the citrus gall wasp infection in the lemon tree and they even picked the lemons I had not been able to reach! All waste was shredded and chipped and the team left my garden very clean. I really appreciated their professional service.

Got one quote, these dudes. Cut a tree (about 18 meters) down to a stump. Everybody's happy me, my wife and the foundations of my house. Casuarina trees should be extinct.

The job was well prepared in advance with two different site visits. I appreciated Dickies' on-site operators being able to explain the process as theyt started the job and their ability to advise the likely effect on each tree. They have knowledgeable aborists on site who care about trees and are willing to share information. Dickies are tree pruners and not tree loppers. The wellbeing of the trees is considered.

Great crew! The team that attended my property didn't have an easy task. The had to navigate around steep inclines and a cut a ridiculously massive tree, which they did in no time and all the work was to a high standard. You get a good laugh and banter from them too! I had multiple trees to be removed. The team from Dickies arrived on time, were very polite and listened to my instructions on which trees were to be removed and which were to remain without needing to double check on any. They got on with the job and when finished cleaned up all the waste leaving the garden clean and tidy. I wouldn’t use anyone else.
The team did a very efficient job. What was done was what was agreed upon when the quote was obtained. A good job all around. I will be calling them back to prune my olives every year.

Second time we've engaged Dickies to prune trees back away from the house. As a repeat customer, I appreciate the professionalism and reliability; they turn up when they say they will, and quotes are clear so you know exactly what's being done. When the work crew arrive, they have been friendly, reviewing the work to be done with you, and then just get on with it. They are mindful to protect any areas that may get damaged, and check in if anything arises that may be of concern. They work as a friendly team and clean up as they go. Our place is a big job with 11 trees to attend to and we have been happy with the result both times.

The job carried out was excellent, the clean up was fantastic. Slightly let down by oil spill on pavers and oil residue on outdoor table. I have a huge eucalyptus tree I need to keep in order, which requires someone to scale it, plus various smaller trees that have reached a size beyond a handyman for large branch removal. I firstly saw Dickies doing work at Guildford Grammar School. At our own personal job they were brilliant! On time and really professional. The main tree doctor, a young (very good looking guy, haha) was brilliant. It looked like artistry! They managed to remove half of our massive tree without hitting any of our horse yards directly below or our massive Garage 3 metres away! The clean up crew were fast and brilliant too! Great service on the ground in both the initial assessment and the removal itself.
The only feedback I would offer is to suggest better continuity between staff about communicating timing. At the initial inspection I as told it was 'urgent' and the booking would be expedited, only be told over the phone it would then be 'up to six weeks, and we'll tell you the day before we can attend'. Eight weeks later it was booked in for an afternoon attendance, so I moved my work day around to suit that time slot - only to have the team arrive that morning instead, forcing me to cancel meetings and race home.
On the whole, the service itself was excellent and the team were tidy and efficient, but the administrative communication was completely off the mark in all cases.

The team which carried out the work was exceptionally efficient and professional. They had to work across 2 properties given very restricted access to the tree in question. The tree climber was highly skilled, properly equipped and clearly very experienced in this work. Several branches were trimmed back to ensure the tree is now within fence line, to make it safer and more balanced in shape. All lopped branches and debris were carefully removed.

All good. I only ever use Dickies and have been for 20 years. Originally quoted 8 weeks to come and do the work but got there in under three even with the christmas period.
The quote was very detailed and competitive, and there was good communication about when the work was going to be done, and the workers were easy to work with. They explained what the process was and tidied up after themselves. I would not hesitate to recommend the company to others.

Contacted Dickies and had a Rep of the company (the Owner) on site to inspect the tree within two days. Gary was very helpful and informative to our needs and organised for me to contact them as soon as we were able to have the work done.
Contacted Dickies Office a few weeks later and arranged for a pruning to be done.
Within a couple of days another Rep of the Company rang and then dropped by to do a specific quote.
This was done and sent to us the next day.
I immediately accepted and I was immediately advised that our job Wouk be immediately scheduled for as soon as possible but due to the volume of work this could be up to 5 weeks time, which meant it could be after Xmas.
About two weeks later I received an email from the Company to say I could be fitted in the afternoon of the next day, if that was convenient.
I accepted, the Dickies boys completed the job the next day and everything was completed beautifully before the end of November!
So, all in all a very professional and easy experience from my point of view.
I can highly recommend Gary and the guys at Dickies.

Dickie's mentioned they we quite busy, so the lead time might be 4-6 weeks.
However, they called after a couple of weeks and said they could fit in part of the job that afternoon if I was available.
It was on one of the days I mentioned would be best for them to come round on.
They completed half the job and said they would complete the following week.
Both teams were friendly and professional, they did a great job and left the area very tidy.

When the power was cut unexpectedly at my Mum’s house on a stormy wet night, I had to move fast to get it reinstated.
Once the new pole was installed I needed to get some clearancing work done to Western Power standards for a tree that was in the front yard.
Dickies Trees were able to come out the same day and did an excellent job. The staff on site were prompt and helpful.

I arranged for a quote - was promptly visited & quote provided onsite by Gary within 24hrs. Within a couple of days I was contacted by Dickies & a date/time advised when they could attend to the job (which was around 3 weeks time). I was contacted a couple of days prior to arranged time to confirm they'd be coming.
A team of 6 men arrived at the stated time & completed the heavy pruning & mulching of timber within 2 hrs. I was really impressed with the work they did, taking all safety precautions for themselves & my home. They also cleaned up the site beautifully. This is the third time we have used Dickies tree service. This last job was brilliant as Jack and his team were hard working, polite and did a fantastic job cleaning up. Jack checked with us before finishing to make sure everything was ok and was happy to tidy up any areas that weren't quite how we wanted them, without any fuss. We would highly recommend Jack and his team.

We have engaged Dickies Tree Service on about fifteen occasions over the last twenty years or so. Their work and cleanup has always been thorough, their staff competent and obliging. and their prices more than reasonable.
Really impressed with the whole experience. Came out quickly to quote, gave plenty of notice when scheduling works and did a really tidy job. Particularly pleased with the pruned tree out the front - expected a half pruned job based on the previous state of it but the crew really took the time to do it right.
Dickies helped us after a tree fell in our driveway, trapping our car in the carport. Quickly responding to our call for help, their supervisor arrived, cut up the tree and moved all the branches etc to the verge - whereupon the truck arrived, mulched everything and cleaned up the area. You could not get better service. It was a Friday and the crew were not phased by extra work on their job list. All the staff, including the chap who took our initial call, could not have been more helpful. Thank you to all.

We hired another company first who were $3k cheaper. After one full days work and half the tree gone they walked off the job saying it was too big for them and recommended we ring Dickies. They came out straight away to make sure the tree was safe and then came back in January and completed the job. The back yard was cleaner after they left than it was before. I can't speak highly enough of Dickies Tree Service, from the time they came to quote me (on time as well) to have my tree cut down to the time the job was done was a total professional experience.
They came in well under the other three quotes I got and when they did the job they left my yard looking cleaner than it was before they arrived and no damage to my property either.
As far as I'm concerned I would never use anyone else should I ever need their services again and I would highly recommend them to all my family and friends.

Dickies was a very professional company and worked through and incredibly hot day and was abel to cut down 2 very large and tall trees quickly and efficiently. They arrived right on time and got the job done. Their team was professional, listening and asking questions to ensure that they did exactly what I wanted. They were able to remove and re-install a sun shade and kids play equipment that was attached to one of the trees. I would highly recommend them.

I did have to wait a while between getting a written quote and the job getting done. However I persevered and was glad I did . The team did a great job and trimmed the hibiscus hedges and an overlapping jacaranda limb exactly as I requested. The guys were friendly and courteous and did an excellent job cleaning up when the cutting was completed. We received a prompt quote that was reasonable in price. After some maintenance on the machines which delayed the job for a few days, two lovely guys arrived when they said they would. We had a reticulation pipe that was surrounded by the trees roots. After searching for the control station in the garden, they thoughtfully turned the water station off and cleanly cut the pipes so that we could get someone in to fix them later on. It was an Oleander in an awkward position that they ground down beautifully and cleanly.Thank you so much for a doing a beautiful job. Well worth getting them to do it instead of us trying to do it ourselves, which we had very much considered.

Communication is their forte. Booked work at a busy time of the year. I was advised the work wouldnt be attended to for at least three weeks. I did have to contact dickies when they did the work as they missed some of the quoted work. I engaged this company to remove five,50 year old trees on my property. To access some of these trees, I had to get my neighbour’s permission to enable the team to use his paved driveway. These trees were so huge they sprawled over boundary fences and one, across my house. Using an impressive array of expertise the team not only felled the trees but disposed of them (several truckloads of tree trunks were taken away while the rest of the material was rendered into chips.) Here was a team that came on time, showed professionalism in all aspects of this tree removal. Not only did they not damage any pavers on my neighbour’s driveway with their heavy machinery, I was amazed to witness the ‘clean up’ team using a blower to remove any sawdust AND two using wet cloths to wipe dirt off a rendered wall. Always been happy with Dickies service in the past. There was a delay in doing the work from the quotation day. I know this was due to a few days of lockdown, Easter and just a huge demand to have trees pruned but I would have liked to be kept informed having waited for quite a few weeks so there is the need to maybe look elsewhere not knowing what is happening. Not knowing can be frustrating then having to phone to find out which comes over as if the client is being annoying which isn't the case. Having said all that I was happy with the work that was done.
I have had Dickies care for my trees since 1992 and think they are fabulous. They do a great job, reliable and leave the garden neat, no matter what they have done.

Really good service and professional advice in neatly removing a cursed out of control Japanese peppermint tree and grinding the stump, roots and suckers down.
The guy who did the grinding, Steve, was very careful not to hit my NBN cable conduit which was next to the stump. He came with 3 x new machines of different sizes that were well up to the jobs, unlike a stump grinder I used a few years back who whinged the whole time about how his machine could not handle the job, and it was my fault!
